During the immigration process, it is important to understand the specific requirements of the country where you intend to relocate. Many countries require certain vital documents to be apostille-certified in order for them to be considered legal and valid in that country. If you are preparing to have these documents authenticated, it is best to work with a service that has extensive experience handling authentication and apostille certification for different types of documents for immigration purposes. This will help you save time, effort, and potential frustrations as you work to meet the requirements of your chosen destination country. Resource
Documents that Need a State Apostille
State-level documents, such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, and notarized documents need to be apostilled by the Secretary of State’s office or another designated state agency. Likewise, federal documents like FBI background checks need to be authenticated by the U.S. Department of State.
In order to receive your apostille, you must bring the original document or an official certified copy of it to our office for authentication. The apostille will then be mailed back to you with your documents. In order to expedite your request, we offer walk-in apostille services in our New York City, Albany, and Utica offices. IMPORTANT: Due to system changes, we now require a CVV (card verification value) for all credit card payments made through our online form or over the phone. Please be sure to include your card details when filling out the apostille request form.
